CRETA

                                                               A very fascinating Island. It hands down from the Prehistory to our Century its unchanged beauty sea, mountain and nature.  
Creta, the greatest greek Island and the fifth for its greatness in all the Mediterranean; it lies to southern Peloponneso, approximately 100 kms from it, in the extreme waters of the Aegean sea.

Its surface is 8261 kmqs; the Ida mountain is 2456 ms high; in fact it is the tallest of Island. Creta, has a population of 750.000. It has a Mediterranean climate with subtropical temperatures: mild and rainy winters and dry summers; the summer lasts  6 – 7 months

 

The History Fascinating destination of trip thank to the wealth of finds of Minoicas’ culture. The most ancient traces of human installation discovered in the Island go back to the VII millennium b.C. and they have the Cretan inhabitants originated from northern Africa. Beginning from the III millennium b.C. it developed a pre- Hellenic bronze civilization that reached  the maximum shine among 2000 – 1600 b.C. this period called Minoica Civilization is celebrated through the figure of the powerful sovereign Minosse. Its cultural, economic and  influence was warned even in the Iberian Peninsula.
The millennial history, the marvellous sea and its kind inhabitants make it attractive. If you are alone and you wish discover the Island, they organize many groups with pullman; you can or go on a cruise around the Island or  another Islands.
Boredom doesn’t live in Creta:  several places;
every kind of kitchen: international, typical greek one and cretese too! In the evening you can dance greek dances with typical people who live in the place. There is no wish that cannot be satisfied!
